Stokes Family Session

Hello, and welcome to one of my favorite family galleries of last year! Carolyn is a pro photographer herself, something I didn't know until she told me at the very end of the session! I had my suspicions based on how much fun the kids were having right off the bat in front of the camera!

Dillon Falls is the perfect place for a family shoot with kiddos this age. It has so much to offer in terms of backdrops and things to see and hold the kid's interest. We had tons of fun exploring the river, falls and meadow, and got some great photos along the way. I also hit the lighting jackpot with just enough cloud coverage to give amazing results, so yeah, it was one for the books! If you're interested in shooting at this location, there is a tiny bit of hiking involved, so keep that in mind for those who may not be super mobile.

It's also not great for the super young as the cliffside's are REAL! Best for kiddos old enough to understand that and follow safety directions. The road in was recently graded, so most cars can access the area, though it can be pretty rough in the spring depending on weather conditions. I highly recommend this spot at sunset, but it can work at other times, you just won't be able to get the falls in the backdrop or the wide open meadow shots in midday sun.
